One of the most important ministries at Green Valley is designed for older adults. Our Young at Heart ministry primarily includes those 60 and above, but includes some younger folks too. Our main purpose is to provide purposeful opportunities and fellowship in a Christian environment. Two primary opportunities in addition to our regular Sunday Bible-study include the following.

Young at Heart

The Young at Heart sponsors a monthly dinner meeting regularly scheduled on the first Tuesday evening of each month at 6 PM. Programs are varied but usually offer a blend of inspiration and entertainment. Reservations can be made by calling the church office,email gatkinson@gvbc.org or CLICK HERE TO REGISTER. Also, we provide several one day trips, extended travel and overnight excursions throughout the year to a variety of destinations.

Joyful Singers Choir

Our senior adult choir, the Joyful Singers is a dedicated group that meets regularly on Thursdays at 10 AM. They sing at various times during the year in worship and in outreach opportunities in Hoover and surrounding areas. Jerry Kendrick is the director.
