The church is not a building, its people; people coming together to laugh, share, learn, serve, and worship.  The purpose of God’s church is to glorify God.  This is achieved through ministry, worship, evangelism, discipleship, and fellowship.  Our goal is for every one of these elements to be found in our Sunday morning Bible study groups.

Adult Bible study puts a face and a smile on the church.  In Bible study we want to explore the Word of God and discover how it applies to our lives today.  We want to build relationships through sharing with each other, serving together, and enjoying social activities as friends.

Green Valley Baptist Church is people, and Adult Bible study groups are where people become friends.

Discipleship Groups

Have you ever asked the question, “What does the Bible say about . . . ?”

Throughout the year there are specific Bible study series offered to our church family and guest.  These series are topical studies designed to encourage and strengthen an area in a person’s life.

Our disciple groups’ emphasis have included: parenting courses, marriage courses, a Bible book study or a Bible character study, world religions, prayer life emphasis, what Baptist believe,  or current “Hot Topics” and the Christian view point.

Discipleship groups generally meet during the week and the courses can run from 4-8 weeks in length.
