What does GROW stand for?
God Rewards Our Work

  Welcome to G.R.O.W.
This page will tell you about our GROW program and
how you can get involved

Grow is not meeting this summer

What are the Principles of GROW?                                                                  Photos

Sowing & Reaping – If you do not sow you cannot reap.  We are called to sow.

Involving Every Member – There is a place for every person: child care, praying, letter writing, phone calling, visiting (homebound, missing Sunday School members, visitors, prospects)

Outreach is FUN – A time of fellowship and celebration each week

Making Quality Time Greater Than Quantity Time.  A person committing to GROW will serve 1 hr 15min a month or just 15 hours a year.

Reaching Out by Divine Appointment – God sets up the team with the people who need to be visited.  We assign them, but God is aware of who goes to whom and what is needed in the visit.

How is Green Valley Baptist Church using GROW?

We have four teams: G*R*O*W.  Each team meets once a month for their visitation.  “G” team meets on the first Sunday, “R” on the second Sunday etc.

Our visitation time is Sunday afternoon from 4:30 – 5:45.  As members arrive they sign in and indicate where they want to serve that evening.  GROW members can choose from: Prayer Team, Letter Writing, Phone Team, and Visitation Team.

After signing in, members go to the assignment tables and get their information sheets.  At 4:35 our team has prayer and everyone gets to work.  Visitation Teams leave and plan to return by 5:30.  At 5:30 we begin our Celebration Time.  Visitation and Phone Teams give brief testimonies about their contacts and we tally up our work.

How can I sign up?

When someone signs up for GROW they will be given a training schedule.  You must attend the training in order to be a GROW team member.
