Dr. Bobby DuBois, Interim Pastor

Personal
Wife — Connie
Children — Lyle and Ellen
B.A. — University of Mobile: Religion
Master of Divinity — The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary
Doctor of Ministry — The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary
Full-time ministry assignment: Associate Executive Director, Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions
My journey of discipleship began just two weeks shy of my 10th birthday when my pastor helped me understand that Christ died for my sins and that through repentance and faith in Christ my sins could be forgiven. My simple prayer expressed my sorrow for my sins and my desire for Christ to be in control of my life. That decision as a nine-year-old boy laid the foundation for my life. I cannot imagine how life would be for me now if Christ had not changed me forever.
The writer of Proverbs reminds us that life is short and full of trouble. Every person has burdens to bear and none of us escape the difficult challenges of life. In Christ, we do have a resource that can help us weather any storm and overcome any obstacle. His grace is more than sufficient in meeting our needs.
Philosophy of Ministry
The message of the Gospel is simple: all of us are sinners; sin carries the consequence of death in relationship with God; Christ died for sinners; through faith in Him we can be forgiven and experience help in the present and hope for the future. My vocational calling as an 18-year-old boy was to preach the Gospel. Our world is changing rapidly but there is an unchanging dimension for our world — God loves us and has a plan for us. His desire is that we overcome the penalty of sin and experience the blessing of His grace. Our assignment, as Christians, is to share His gospel with the world and grow (and help others to grow!) in relationship with Him.

David Byrd, Education Minister

PersonalWife—Karla Children – James, Phillip, Laurel B.A. – University of West Florida: Communication Arts - Public Relations Master of Christian Education – New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary I have been blessed to have been raised in a Christian home. At the age of eight I accepted Jesus as my Savior. For years Jesus was just my Savior, I did not allow Him to be my Lord. I submitted to His Lordship in my early twenties. After years of searching for my “purpose in life,” I discovered it when I stopped trying to find it “my way” and allowed Jesus to lead me His way. He is Lord.
After I said “No” to my way and “Yes” to following Christ, I discovered my true purpose in life is to actively serve Him. I did this in my secular job and now in my role as a servant minister. There are times when I still slip back to my way of doing things, but God’s grace lovingly reminds me His way is always best.
Philosophy of Ministry I believe that it is the responsibility of every Christian to share the gospel of Christ. It is my responsibility to lead by example, to disciple all believers in their personal walk with Jesus, and to equip and train them in sharing their faith with others. I believe the actions of a Christian should be Christ like and glorify God. Email David Byrd |

Marion Eubank, Music Minister
Personal BA from Samford University; Major in Music Master of Church Music; Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, TX Born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama Answered the call of Ministry at the Morningview Baptist Church Wife: Karen Daughters: Lauren & Lindsay
Salvation Experience It was a blessing for me to be able to claim Christ as my Savior at the age of 7 years old. During a revival service at my home church, I felt the tugging of the Holy Spirit and responded at the time of invitation. It was during that time that I realized that I was in need of forgiveness and I prayed to receive Him into my heart and life after discussing the decision with my parents and my Pastor. Since that time, God has confirmed in me that He is faithful and sufficient for every need in my life and He continues to reveal Himself to me through His word and His Spirit.
Philosophy of Ministry I believe that ministry through music exists in order that we may develop a passion for Christ among the people of God in the presence of His Spirit. This means that we must work to provide God-centered worship that is scriptural, relevant and life changing. Music ministry is not just performance, but includes a process which uses music to teach about the message of God, trains individuals to use their talents to glorify God, and ultimately uses music to direct people toward God. Dana Berry, Administrator/Missions Minister
Personal Wife: Karen Children: Joshua & Jordan BBA from Stetson University: Accounting MACE from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary CPA (Kentucky) and Certified Church Administrator (NACBA)
Christ came into my life as Lord and Savior at the age of nine. I have been blessed with godly parents, pastors, teachers, and friends who have helped my growth as a Christian. They helped me realize that God desires a personal relationship that is expressed in my daily walk with Him. After working 14 years in public accounting, the Lord led me to realize that He wanted me to use my God given talents and abilities in the local church in vocational ministry. God has provided numerous opportunities for me to serve Him over the years in the areas of missions, education, and administration.
Philosophy of Ministry We are all on mission. The Bible makes it clear that God’s desire for the church is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ everywhere. Each Christian is responsible for evangelism. God also desires that the church work together as a body, with each part contributing – in unity, mature, growing in the likeness of Christ. Scripture also makes it clear that God not only created everything we know, but He sustains all creation. In response, we are compelled to manage and use all that He has granted to us in a manner that gives glory to God. Email Dana Berry

Todd Oakley, Student Pastor
Personal Wife: Lindsay Daughter: Lila Kate Born and raised Peachtree City, GA (Home of the golf carts) B.S. from Samford University-Business Administration Currently pursuing Master of Divinity- New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary
Salvation Experience As an eight-year-old kid I remember finally realizing that although I was a good kid, I was not good enough to live up to God’s standard of perfection. It was then that I first understood that Jesus was “the Way, the Truth and the Life and that no one came to the father except through Him.” So I prayed with my dad in my room to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Since that time I have been blessed to have godly parents, mentors, and teachers in my life to help me grow in my relationship with the Lord. It is a constant struggle to allow Jesus to be the Lord over all my life and not just the parts I pick and choose. That’s why in Joshua it says to “choose this day whom you will serve.” God continued his work in me by calling me into ministry as a senior in high school and every day I strive to have a growing, intimate relationship with Him.
Philosophy of Ministry As a minister to students, it is my responsibility to share the gospel of Jesus with young people and their families through providing a Christ-like example, building meaningful relationships, teaching the Word, and offering godly counsel through scripture. We are called to be imitators of Christ and should grow more and more like Him every day. As Christ-followers we are to bring glory to God by loving Him and loving others while leading others to an intimate and personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Email Todd Oakley |

Amy L. Serrano, Preschool Director
Personal Born and raised in Ithaca, NY. Husband: Ricardo (Ric) Children: Ryan, Lauren and Alyssa Attended Cornell University Licensed KinderMusik Instructor Served at various churches as Worship Leader, Pianist, Soloist and Children’s Church Leader
Salvation Experience God blessed me with a loving, Christian family. During a Sunday morning service, I heard God’s voice beckoning me to accept His gift of salvation. I took that first step out of my seat and began my lifelong journey with Him. From that moment of admitting that my sins were separating me from God and I needed Jesus to be in control of my life, I have been growing and experiencing Him in new and different ways each day. What an awesome God we have to reach out and desire a personal relationship with each one of us!
Ministry Philosophy I believe that the heart and soul of this ministry must be to mindfully strengthen our own personal relationship with God so we are equipped to help nurture and guide those in our care as they develop a spiritual understanding and build a foundation of faith. We have been given the unique opportunity to help each child connect God’s love to everyday life. We have a calling to encourage our parents to remain faithful to God and to help teach and train their children in His ways so that they may one day also trust Him as Savior.

Lori Adderhold, Weekday Director
Personal Husband: Andy Daughter: Victoria Lynn B.A. in English and Secondary Education – Louisiana State University I grew up in a wonderful, loving Christian family. Although we lived in 8 different states throughout my childhood/youth, one thing never changed—we attended Sunday school and church weekly. My mom insisted that this be the one constant in our lives. I made the decision to accept Christ as my savior at age 11 and continued to learn and grow in my faith. It wasn’t until years later as an adult that I really came to understand what my mom knew so well—life will bring us challenges, difficulties, and disappointments, but if we keep Christ as the constant master over our lives, His grace and mercy will sustain us and it will be enough.
Philosophy of Ministry Our Weekday Program is designed to give our preschool students the very basic building blocks for their academic success. They’ll learn their numbers and alphabet, and progress to counting and pre-reading/writing skills. They will also engage in activities that will enhance emotional, social and physical skills. Above all, our program will lay the foundation for them to eventually come to know Christ as their savior. Through bible stories, music, and chapel lessons, students will be introduced to the “basics” of Christianity. We know that it is never too early to teach the children of the love of Jesus. Each day we are given the opportunity to be an example and to witness to these children so that they will learn and grow in Christ.
Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6
