Worship is the lifeblood of who we are and what we are about at Green Valley. Join us in the journey to offer our highest praise through music. Opportunities are available for every age and stage of life. From preschoolers to older adults, Green Valley is a place where worship is key and the joy of making music for the glory of God is a priority.

FAQ's

Do you have childcare for adult rehearsals?

Yes. Childcare is provided for ages birth through 3rd grade each Wednesday evening during our regular rehearsal times. Older children and youth may go to our Christian Family Life Center for free play time during rehearsals.

Do you have to audition to be in the adult worship choir?

No.An audition is not necessary and the best way to find out about choir is to visit any regularly scheduled rehearsal.You can just sit and listen or join in singing. Information is available when you come and a greeter will help you when you arrive.

Do you have to audition to play in the church orchestra?

Yes. We are always in need of players in a variety of areas but before coming to a rehearsal, an interview with the director is preferred so that we can determine how to best use your talents. Also, we want to have a place ready for you when you come.

What kind of music do you use for worship?

Our worship music reflects the needs of a very diverse congregation but with one central purpose of directing our affections toward God. We sing praise songs, hymns and worship songs in a variety of styles and accompaniments.

Senior Adults

Are you eligible for AARP? Then you qualify for Joyful Singers the senior adult choir which meets on Thursday of each week.  It's fun, inspirational and a vital ministry for all seniors.  Please come and visit our group for a fun time. We meet at 10:00 AM in the choir room. JOIN US! 

Adults

God is great and the presence of a great choir in worship is a testimony to that fact. We are blessed at Green Valley to have a dedicated group of singers to lead in worship each Sunday and with special programs throughout the year. The Worship Choir is made up of adults committed to knowing Him and making Him known through song. God continues to bless this ministry as the choir grows in number and oneness of purpose.
The Worship Choir rehearses each Wednesday at 6:30 in the choir room. Visitors are welcome!!!  No audition is necessary to join the Worship Choir. 

Students
The Student Choir  is open to all  students, grades 7 through 12. The choir meets each Sunday from 4:45 to 5:45 in the choir room. The choir  leads in worship once a month in evening services and presents a spring musical.  Senior High students also have the opportunity to participate in a summer choir/mission trip. Meaningful relationships and a sense of purpose characterize the opportunities offered to students in the Music and Worship Ministry of Green Valley Baptist Church.

Children



Music is offered for children age 3 through grade 6. Our preschool choirs are designed to create an environment where preschoolers learn that music can be fun and that we sing to worship God. They also begin learning the foundational skills used in music. Grades 1 through 4 build on the musical skills while learning spiritual truths through songs.

In STUDIO 56 our grades 5 & 6 learn more about the kingdom through the use of games, music and Bible study.

Children's Choirs meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:00–7:00 PM, rotating every 10 weeks with Mission groups. Join us in choir—there's a place for everyone!
